What subscription does the SmarTrack Protector Pro S7 need?
You can pay by monthly direct debit at £13.49, annually at £149, or choose from 2 years at £249 and 3 years at £339, with a duration of vehicle ownership option at £549 so there is nothing more to pay while you own the vehicle. Subscriptions are paid directly to SmarTrack after install.
What does app based only mean?
All of the vehicle's location, alerts and controls are delivered through the Global Telemetrics app, with no extra web portal or driver tags needed. SmarTrack Secure Control Centre still monitors the vehicle around the clock.
What is the difference between the Reco and the Protector Pro?
Both are app based S7 trackers monitored 24/7 by SmarTrack Secure Control Centre, with tow alerts and battery alerts. The Reco is £299 including the first year's subscription, then £99 per year, while the Protector Pro starts at £199 with a choice of subscription lengths.
Will an S7 meet my insurance requirement?
Many insurers accept S7 tracking, but some policies ask specifically for S5 with Automatic Driver Recognition. Check your policy wording, or send us the requirements and we’ll match the right category.
How is S7 different from S5?
S5 includes everything S7 offers plus Automatic Driver Recognition, which alerts the monitoring centre if your vehicle moves without an authorised driver tag present.
